Our DFG-funded research project has been extended for another three years and is now entering its second project phase. In the second phase of the project, the focus is on the practical transfer of the research results of the first project phase. The implementation of an information system into the everyday work of a practice partner and the longitudinal analysis of the consequences of this implementation form the core of the second project phase.

The focus and research questions are in the following areas:

1. Further development of the VIS¹ prototype into an operational application system
2. Investigation of the effect of forgetting processes in socio-digital systems
3. Field application of the business application system at practice partners to validate the targeted forgetting triggered by IT
4. Improvement of the developed business application system about economic and business management issues
5. Extension of the empirical basis and outlook on future developments through the integration of self-learning systems (artificial intelligence)
